They've watched YouTube tutorials, hired trainers who canceled when it got hard, enrolled in group classes that barely scratched the surface. SongDog was built on a refusal to cut corners.
Every decision we make is rooted in how dogs actually learn, biologically, behaviorally, and emotionally. We don't impose a one-size-fits-all method. We observe, we adapt, and we build a program around the individual dog and the life they'll go home to.
Our approach is hands-on and immersive by design. Sessions are intentionally small, approximately five dogs at a time, so that every dog receives the focused attention that transformation requires. We work in short, purposeful sessions that respect how dogs process and retain learning, building on each success before moving to the next.
Training your dog is only half the work. The other half is you. Every program concludes with a comprehensive transfer of training session, so when your dog comes home, you understand exactly what's been built and how to maintain it. Owners leave confident. Dogs leave connected. That's what lasting results look like.

Jason brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in animal behavior, training, and canine development. He's worked with dogs from across the United States and internationally, sought out by owners facing everything from basic obedience challenges to complex aggression and behavioral issues that others couldn't solve.
His approach isn't about force or compliance, it's about understanding. Jason has spent his career studying how dogs think, learn, and build trust, and he applies that knowledge with the kind of precision that only comes from decades of real-world practice. He believes in giving owners back a dog who responds not out of fear, but out of genuine love and respect.
When you work with Jason, you're not just getting a trainer. You're getting a behaviorist who has seen it all, refined his craft through thousands of dogs, and still shows up every day with the same commitment to getting it right.

Tiffany is the force behind the SongDog experience from the moment you first reach out to the day your dog comes home.
She oversees SongDog's Breeding Program and VIP Puppy Program, and brings more than 20 years of corporate management experience to her role leading day-to-day kennel operations. Her attention to detail and passion for the dogs translate into a client experience that is seamless, communicative, and deeply personal.
Tiffany is the reason the standard never slips. She ensures that every dog in our care is treated with the same level of intention and warmth that we would give our own, and that every owner feels informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.

Jason Major
Most board-and-train programs train your dog and send them home. We do something fundamentally different. We work with a small number of dogs at any given time, because quality cannot be scaled beyond what we can give our full attention to. We use a systems-based, scientifically grounded methodology that doesn't bend to trends or convenience. We don't consider a program complete until the owner is as confident as the dog.
Our values are simple: honesty, safety, and long-term outcomes. We'll tell you what we can and can't do. We'll tell you if we're not the right fit. When we take on a dog, we're fully committed, not to impressive short-term performance, but to results that hold up six months, a year, a lifetime from now. SongDog isn't for everyone.
